Palm Beach Gardens is a wonderful place to live and raise a family; the city is always looking for ways to improve the community and provide opportunities for children and families to spend quality time together. One of their latest projects is the expansion of the Gardens Park baseball complex, which is projected to be completed in the spring of 2019, just in time for summer activities.
In addition to the familiar aspects of the Gardens Park Baseball Complex, the project will encourage residents, especially children, to spend more time outdoors as well as provide athletes with two new baseball fields, a batting and pitching practice area, and an additional covered area. The covered area will help protect players from some of Florida’s sun rays as well as our frequent rain showers.
This $2.5 million project was managed by City Engineer Todd Engle, in an effort to get more Palm Beach citizens outside to enjoy America’s pastime while soaking up the lovely Florida weather and getting exercise simultaneously. This project is an excellent addition to the great community in which we live, and it stands to create a terrific shared environment for Palm Beach youth.
When I’m not at The Snyder Group office, my family is typically at a baseball field or throwing a few pitches at home! My son is an avid baseball player, so we’re very excited to see this project underway and cannot wait to see the finished results. We hope to see you on the fields!
