5 Things to Do In Jupiter While In Town For Spring Training

With MLB’s spring training season officially underway, many Cardinals and Marlins fans will soon be making their way to Jupiter’s Roger Dean Stadium to catch a glimpse of their favorite players kickoff another exciting year of baseball.

If you’re coming in from out of town or out of state, chances are you’re planning to do much more than just watch a spring training game or two, though. So to help keep you busy and ensure you have a fun-filled trip during your stay, we thought we’d provide a short list of things to do right here in sunny Jupiter, Florida.

Spend Time Outside at Dubois Park

Dubois Park is one of our favorite parks in all of Palm Beach County. With over 1,200 feet of palm tree-lined beach, as well as playground and picnic pavilions, there’s no better place to experience South Florida’s beautiful tropical setting than here.

Kayak Jupiter Waterway Trail

The Jupiter Waterway Trail is a series trails and off-shoots that make for a pleasant place to kayak or paddleboard. And given it’s also a waterway that connects to the Loxahatchee River and the Intracoastal, it’s also a great place to go boating, fishing, and birdwatching too.

Birdwatching at Riverbend Park

Riverbend Park offers all kinds of fun things to do outside and among them is spending time watching all the natural wildlife that makes this protected area home. We recommend renting a bike for the day, which allows you to easily ride all the trails and take in much more of the park’s scenic beauty. And some bikes even have a basket, which makes planning a picnic in the park pretty easy too.

Walk Abacoa Town Center

If you’re planning to hit a spring training game, there’s really no reason not to walk through Abacoa Town Center, which features all sorts of specialty shops, outdoor dining, and even weekly events and concerts.

Spend a Day at Ocean Cay Park

Obviously you can’t come to Jupiter and not plan for a little time at the beach. We recommend checking out Ocean Cay Park because it has plenty of parking, a playground for the kids, pavilions and public restrooms, showers, and a beach that can hold a whole lot of people.
