The Honda Classic is Returning to Palm Beach
Whether you’re a resident of the Palm Beach area or you’re visiting family and friends, there is never a shortage of fun events to take part in. There’s always an opportunity to be part of the community. Because Florida experiences generally warm weather throughout the year, there are engaging ways to get out of the house, even during this time of year. The Honda Classic, for example, is taking place between February 25th and March 3rd.
Since 2007, the PGA National Golf Club has hosted the Honda Classic, promoting it as one of the Palm Beach area’s annual cultural traditions. The Honda Classic takes place on the Champion course, one of the club’s five unique 18-hole courses, which features the three-hole Bear Trap challenge designed by Jack Nicklaus himself. Tickets are still available for purchase in advance, as well as different seating options, including access to the Champion Club, the Waterford Club, and the Legends Club. Visitors can also choose to purchase different passes to explore the grounds, as well as parking passes to save both time and expense.
This year, 144 of golf’s best players will gather to compete in front of more than 200,000 fans for the coveted $6.9 million prize. Palm Beach’s own Brooks Koepka will be one of the many great golfers hitting the Champion course, representing both his home and the skill he has developed.
Aside from the golf tournament itself, the Honda Classic has something for everyone to enjoy. There are plenty of drink options available, as well as many luxurious outlets to indulge in at the PGA National Resort and Spa or any of the nearby hotels and restaurants. The Honda Classic encourages family engagement and allows children under 15 free admission. Aside from live music and club access for the adults, there are opportunities for the kids to meet their favorite golfers and attend the Junior Honda Classic for tips from golf professionals.
It’s going to be an event packed with plenty to enjoy for dedicated golf fans, as well as those who are new to the sport. The Honda Classic is just one of the many cultural events that make the Palm Beach area such a lovely place to live.
