Jonathan's Landing, Boating, Golf & Waterfront Living Guide

Jonathan's Landing is a gated, master-planned community at the eastern edge of Jupiter, set along the Intracoastal Waterway and minutes from the Atlantic through the Jupiter Inlet. It spans 27 separate villages with an on-site marina, private docks on navigable waterways in select villages, and three golf courses. One thing to know up front: club membership is optional, not required to own a home, and the water access is the real differentiator.

About the Community

Jonathan's Landing, a Boating-and-Golf Enclave in Jupiter

Jonathan's Landing sits along the Intracoastal Waterway in eastern Jupiter. The official property owners association reports 1,234 residences across 27 villages on 607 acres, including 145 acres of lakes and waterways. The community is minutes by boat from the Atlantic through the Jupiter Inlet, which makes water access, not just golf, a defining feature for many buyers.

What sets Jonathan's Landing apart from a required-membership community like Admirals Cove is choice. Membership at Jonathan's Landing Golf Club is optional, so you do not have to join the club to own a home. Nonresident membership opportunities have also been offered, but categories, availability, and waitlists should be confirmed directly with the club. Housing spans waterfront condominiums and townhomes, golf-front single-family homes, and Intracoastal and canal-front estates, creating both relatively accessible entry options and a multimillion-dollar luxury tier.

"Jonathan's Landing is for the buyer who wants the option of private dockage in the right village and golf if they choose it, not because the gate forces it. The water access is the differentiator here. My job is to help you determine which of the 27 villages, and which type of property, actually fits how you want to live on the water."

The Thing to Understand First

Membership at Jonathan's Landing, Private and Optional

Jonathan's Landing Golf Club is a private, member-owned club, and joining is optional: you can own a home in the community without belonging to the club. That is the single most important distinction between Jonathan's Landing and a mandatory-membership community. The club currently presents four membership categories, with amenities that can include golf across three courses, racquets, fitness, wellness, dining, and social programming. Nonresident opportunities and waitlist status should be confirmed directly with the club.

Membership categories, initiation or other joining contributions, annual dues, waitlists, and any equity or refund provisions can change. I will not quote a figure that could be stale or apply the wrong category; instead, I will obtain the current written membership terms directly from the club before you commit, so the true cost and availability are clear from the start.

Why it matters: because the club is optional, two buyers in the same village can have very different carrying costs depending on whether they join. For a buyer who wants water and a home without a required club, that flexibility is a real advantage over communities where membership comes attached to the deed. I will lay out both paths honestly.

On the Water

The Marina, the Docks & Boating

Water is central to Jonathan's Landing. The on-site Loggerhead Jupiter Marina at 3238 Casseekey Island Road provides a fuel dock, pump-out service, dry storage, and a marine center. Select villages also include private docks on navigable saltwater, with access to the Intracoastal and the Atlantic through the Jupiter Inlet. The marina describes the inlet and ocean as minutes away. Confirm current storage availability, vessel limits, and the route from a specific property directly with the marina and the relevant association.

Because boating access varies by property, the diligence is in the details. Before you write an offer, confirm water depth at the dock at low tide, any bridge clearances on the route to the Jupiter Inlet, dock and lift size and condition, seawall condition, and the cost and availability of wind and flood insurance. A freshwater or limited-draft location is a very different purchase from a home on navigable saltwater in an Intracoastal village such as Casseekey Island.

Types of Homes in Jonathan's Landing

Jonathan's Landing offers an unusually wide range inside one gate, from lower-priced waterfront condominiums to multimillion-dollar Intracoastal estates. Golf

Three Courses Across Two Properties

The Jonathan's Landing Golf Club spans three championship courses on two properties. The Village course, originally a George Fazio design from 1978 and most recently reworked by Beau Welling in 2024, is the one inside the main community and is known for a ferry-boat crossing of the Intracoastal at the signature 17th. The other two courses, The Medal (a Tom Fazio design) and The Match (designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, and named #4 on Golf Digest's 2023 Best Transformation list), sit at Old Trail in Ranch Colony. Because the club is private, course access runs through membership — and since membership is optional, that is a choice you make rather than a condition of home ownership.

Inside the Gate

The 27 Villages

Jonathan's Landing is organized into 27 villages, each a distinct enclave with its own housing type, amenities, and association rules. Some have private pools, while several include private docks on navigable saltwater. The official POA publishes profiles for all 27 villages; the cards below highlight a few examples, and the exact rules, reserves, dock rights, and assessments should still be verified for each address.

The Narrows & Casseekey Island

The Narrows is a 27-home freshwater-and-golf enclave. Casseekey Island is an Intracoastal island community with homes on navigable saltwater or private garden settings.

Waterfront Villages

Bay Head, Cresson Island, Greens Cay, The Harbour, Lantern Bay, Barrow Island, and Cape Pointe sit among the water- and canal-oriented enclaves. Dockage and draft vary by village and by lot — confirm per address.

Crosswinds & Golf-Side

Crosswinds is among the named villages on the golf-and-interior side. Old Trail at Ranch Colony is the golf property holding The Medal and The Match courses, a separate setting from the waterfront village core.

Agent's Perspective

My Honest Take on Jonathan's Landing

What I tell buyers who ask about Jonathan's Landing

If you want water access with the freedom to take or leave the golf club, Jonathan's Landing offers a distinctive combination. In select saltwater villages, a home may include private dockage with access toward the Jupiter Inlet; club members can also use three golf courses, racquets, fitness, wellness, dining, and social amenities. The 27-village structure creates substantial variety, from lower-priced condominiums to multimillion-dollar Intracoastal estates, while club membership remains optional rather than attached to home ownership.

What Jonathan's Landing doesn't do well

The same range that makes it flexible makes it harder to shop. The 27 villages differ on dockage, amenities, age, and rules, so a headline community price tells you almost nothing about a specific home. Waterfront homes add dock, seawall, and wind-and-flood-insurance carrying costs, and the optional club's initiation or other joining contributions and annual dues are a real expense if you join, with figures that are not published consistently and must be confirmed with the club. It is a gated boating-and-golf community, not a walkable town.

Who it's best for, and who should look elsewhere

Best for: boaters seeking private dockage on navigable saltwater in select villages, buyers who want golf access without a mandatory membership, and seasonal owners who want a lock-and-leave base behind a gate.

May not suit: buyers who want a required, all-in club experience with everything bundled (look at Admirals Cove), those who want acreage and privacy (Jupiter Farms), or buyers who want a walkable town center (Abacoa). I will tell you honestly when one of those is the smarter match.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Jonathan's Landing

Is club membership required to live in Jonathan's Landing?
No. Membership at Jonathan's Landing Golf Club is optional, so you can own a home in the community without joining the club. Nonresident memberships have also been offered, but current categories, availability, and waitlists should be confirmed directly with the club. This is the key difference from required-membership communities like Admirals Cove.
How much does Jonathan's Landing membership cost?
Membership categories, initiation or other joining contributions, annual dues, waitlists, and any equity or refund provisions can change. Rather than quote a number that could be stale or apply the wrong category, I will obtain the current written terms directly from the club before you commit.
How much do homes cost in Jonathan's Landing?
Prices vary widely by housing type, condition, village, view, and water access, from lower-priced condominiums to multimillion-dollar Intracoastal estates. Any fixed range can become stale, so use the live Jupiter-area market snapshot only as broad context and request a current Jonathan's Landing pull for the exact village and home type you want.
Can Jonathan's Landing accommodate my boat?
Possibly, depending on the vessel and property. Loggerhead Jupiter Marina offers a fuel dock, pump-out service, dry storage, and a marine center, while select villages have private docks on navigable saltwater. Confirm current marina availability and vessel limits, then verify the specific property's water depth, bridge clearances, dock and lift condition, seawall, and route to the Jupiter Inlet.
What golf does Jonathan's Landing have?
Three championship courses across two properties: the Village course (George Fazio, 1978; reworked by Beau Welling, 2024), with a ferry-boat crossing of the Intracoastal at the 17th, plus The Medal (Tom Fazio) and The Match (Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner) at Old Trail in Ranch Colony. Because the club is private and optional, course access runs through a membership you choose to take, not one attached to your home.
What schools serve Jonathan's Landing?
Jonathan's Landing is within the School District of Palm Beach County, but assignments are determined by exact address and can change. Nearby district schools include Lighthouse Elementary (VPK–2), Beacon Cove Intermediate (grades 3–5), Jupiter Middle, and Jupiter Community High; do not treat that list as a zoning guarantee. Verify the current assignment and any Choice-program eligibility with the School District of Palm Beach County before you buy.
What are the 27 villages in Jonathan's Landing?
The official POA identifies Barrow Island, Bay Head, Baytowne, Bridgegate, Cape Pointe, Casseekey Island, Cresson Island, Crosswinds, Greens Cay, Hidden Cove, Jonathan's Island, Lantern Bay, Longshore, Passage Island, Port Dickinson, Riverwind, Shearwater, Southern Cay, Southporte, The Anchorage, The Harbour, The Narrows, Trader's Crossing, Waterbend, West Bay, Windrift, and Windward Village. Housing type, association rules, amenities, dock rights, reserves, and assessments vary by village, so confirm them for the exact property.
What are the ownership costs in Jonathan's Landing?
Costs vary by property and may include village or association fees, optional club initiation or other joining contributions and annual dues, and, for waterfront homes, dock and seawall upkeep plus wind and flood insurance. Eligible Florida primary-residence owners may qualify for homestead-related property-tax benefits. Confirm every fee, assessment, insurance requirement, and club term for the specific home and village. (General information, not financial or tax advice.)

The Experience, in Their Words

Janice Aronovitz

Buying and selling a home can be an incredibly stressful process, but working with Dylan Snyder made all the difference. We first met Dylan ten years ago when we moved to Jupiter and he was the seller’s agent. When it came time to sell our own home, we chose him to represent us. It was the right decision—our home was under contract almost immediately. Dylan went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable every step of the way. He always took the time to listen to our concerns, answer our questions, and provide the exact right amount of support. In addition to selling our home, he put in a lot of time and effort into helping us find our rental. We couldn't recommend him more highly!

Their communication, professionalism, and attention to detail were outstanding. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. Thanks again Cristen and Dylan!!
